Something to blog about

At a young age, I was inspired to begin journaling by an uncle who had kept journals for most of his life. After several years of daily entries, I looked back on what I had written. It was clear that the ink and paper had preserved my memories in detail that my weathered mind could not. My journal was my faithful companion from middle school through college.
Recently, however, I have no written record. A second great thing that I learned from my uncle is that when you find the right person, a journal no longer serves the same purpose. I have found my other half in life, and it is true that I no longer need the journal in the same way that I used to.
My memories are now captured in photographs. I photograph life in its biggest and smallest moments. From projects, to travels, to dinners, and friends, my camera is now the instrument that records my memories. As an artist and a photographer, I strive to bring a unique vision to my photographs and to use the medium with an artful eye and not just as a recording device. The camera is my compass, and while it is constantly leading me to new explore new places, it always points me home.
